Trumbull County Women’s History Celebration 2015

Member’s from the Girard Historical Society recently attended the Trumbull County Women’s History Celebration at Packard Music Hall. Several members had luck shine upon them, as they walked away with multiple prizes. The day was filled with good food, great company and delightful, albeit replacement entertainment. Apparently, our Civil War Doctor, Mary Edwards Walker was called away to service and instead we had the delightful Emily Dickinson as our speaker.

Yesterday is History
By Emily Dickinson

 Yesterday is History,
'Tis so far away -
 Yesterday is Poetry -
'Tis Philosophy -

 Yesterday is mystery -
Where it is Today
 While we shrewdly speculate
Flutter both away

Pianist, Bonnie Hood of Girard.

The delicious food was provided by The Saratoga in Warren, Ohio.
